Hello, my name is Sheleen Cocea, a whimsical surface pattern designer based in Central England. I enjoy the perks of the city life and the calm of the countryside. My love for colour, femininity, and the wonderful beauty in nature itself inspires my designs. I illustrate for home decor and stationery items, bringing a sense of imagination and warmth, which has translated into my licensed projects of textiles and greeting cards. Since earning my degree in furniture design, it has really opened my eyes to the world of interiors, including textiles, wallpaper, and understanding how to create an enjoyable living space. My designs are available on Spoonflower, and I am open to direct licensing and commission projects.
When I am not designing, I like to get involved with music. I play the piano, viola, guitar, and I can sing. I spend most of my mornings taking my children to the library to look through some inspiring and fun books. You will see me baking often, especially bread. My husband is Romanian, so I have really enjoyed learning the beautiful language.
